Driving Range and Golf Lessons

Driving Range

Full use of the driving range and adjacent practice facility is included in your Irem full membership.  The driving range hours will coincide with the hours of operation of the golf course except for Monday.  On Monday, the range will be open at 10:00 am.  The driving range will close on Sunday evening at 4:00 pm.

The driving range is for use by Irem Golf Course members only.  All members are required to abide by the Irem Golf Course dress code while using the driving range or practice areas.

Chris Miller 570-877-7206
Chris is the owner of the Scranton Golf Center.  Chris has been teaching since 2005.  He turned pro at age 20 and has studied under top 100 instructor Jimmy Ballard.  Chris is the inventor of Centerclub Golf, a teaching device that builds correct muscle memory for more consistent mechanics.  His device is in the process of mass production for sale in the US.  Chris has received rave reviews from his students for his style of teaching and the results they have experienced on the course. Chris Mathews 570-675-4653
Chris has been the Pro at various clubs in the area.  A graduate of Misericordia University, he is the first golfer inducted into the Misericordia Hall of Fame.  While at Misericordia, he was a three time MVP and ranks third in career scoring average.  He was the 1994 Pennsylvania Athletic Conference champion and finished in the top six two other times.  He shares the second-lowest single round score in school history and was part of the lowest team round in school history.  
 
Mike Wrenn 570-606-9819
Mike is currently registered in the PGM program and is a recognized Associate of the PGA. Previously employed at Mountain Laurel Golf Club where he helped run junior clinics and competitive leagues. Mike brings great enthusiasm to teaching golfers at all skill levels.
